One of my favorite two-toned
henna stains. Creating multiple shades in the design requires several
extra steps and some advanced planning but is well worth the effort.
This check pattern has been used for thousands of years in henna and other forms of body decoration. I have seen similiar patterns painted in red on the feet of Egyptian mummies.
Inspired by Arabic border tiles from the16th century, photo taken 5 days after the paste was removed
Two toned henna stains are a contemporary interpretation of traditional henna patterns. The added depth creates an elegant pattern and brings it to life.
